Chuck Goldwater to Keynote IBCs D-Cinema Conference in Amsterdam

DCI's Chuck Goldwater will give the keynote speech at the D-Cinema conference in Amsterdam.

IBC's D-Cinema conference on Monday, September 15 is the centerpiece of four days of D-Cinema action at this IBC. The weekend sees a full program of demonstrations and screenings by leading manufacturers in the RAI Auditorium, which will be transformed into a state of the art digital cinema. D-Cinema and associated screenings occupies all of Monday with the EDCF (European Digital Cinema Forum) Open Meeting on Tuesday morning.

The conference will cover all aspects of the D-Cinema world but particular attention is being paid to the business formula and removing the obstacles delaying its development

.

DCI is a joint venture of seven major Hollywood studios. Other confirmed participants from the USA include Wendy Aylsworth of Warner Brothers, John Fithian from NATO (National Association of Theater Owners) James Mathers of Filmakers, Tim Harader from Microsoft, Roland Brown of the Moving Picture Company and Rod Sterling of the JVC ILA Technology Group. Furthermore the conference will benefit from two highly experienced American session chairmen in the persons of Brian McKernan of the renowned Digital Cinema Magazine and Tom McMahon of Dolby Research. This weight of talent from the 'home of the movies' is well matched by an equally impressive list of international speakers and chairmen representing all aspects of the industry.
