New Century Productions (NCP), a provider of remote production facilities and services, will broadcast 100 professional baseball games this season using Grass Valley brand equipment from Thomson. NCP is using Grass Valley cameras, servers, and Grass Valley switchers to broadcast its coverage in the 720p high-definition format this season
. Grass Valley equipment from Thomson helped kick off the professional baseball season in high definition (HD) earlier this year.
Veterans of many years of sports production, NCP is using its newest all-HD truck, NCP-V, for baseball coverage. The truck is outfitted with 16 Grass Valley LDK 6000 mk II Standard model multi-format cameras, a Grass Valley XtenDD HD digital production switcher, and a four-channel Grass Valley PVS 3000 Profile XP Media Platform video server.
