Media 100 Inc., a developer of advanced media systems, announced that Editology, a New York-based post-production facility, has purchased and installed 844/X, the award-winning real-time, online vertical editing system, increasing the 844/X installed base to 300. Emmy Award-winner Editology chose 844/X to give its clients real-time compositing speed and higher 10-bit image quality. Now the company is making use of 844/X around the clock to design effects- and graphics-rich content for advertising agency clients and on projects like Showtime's "Best of Boxing" special.
Editology joins a growing community of 844/X users including broadcast networks WLNS, WCAX, KXII, WSET, production companies OnLine Video Design, Pacific Video Image, Coast Media Teleproductions, Eagle Vision Productions, Nomad Pictures, On 4 Productions and more than 25 other new customer sites that installed 844/X systems in the last month.
