Panavision 24P Chills with Ultra Camera Mounts System on Dry Ice
By Elina Shatkin, October 23, 2003

The crew wrapped shooting on the independent feature film "Dry Ice" -- the Sony 24P Panavised Hi-Def Camera has been used with the new Ultra Camera Mounts system.

The D.P., Mike Bernstein, had recently purchased the Hostess/ Hood Mount Kit and the Dolly Axle accessory. Having been in on the product testing Mike knew the UCM system could not only handle the weight but produce rock solid shots

. Having little prep time, Mike felt the versatility of the UCM system would allow him to get the camera wherever it needed to be.

The UCM kit was used extensively throughout the project. The mount was even put on a truck tailgate and shot car to car. The film "Dry Ice" was shot in 12 1/2 days with a budget of less than $15,000.00.
