Softimage Announces Limited-Time Promotions for SOFTIMAGE|XSI

Softimage Co., a subsidiary of Avid Technology, Inc. today announced that it is lowering the price of SOFTIMAGE|XSI, its industry leading 3-D nonlinear production environment, by as much as 50 percent until December 22, 2003. The promotions also include the ability to upgrade for free to the latest version of the SOFTIMAGE|XSI software when purchasing 12 months of maintenance (no back maintenance charges apply).

Effective immediately, these special, limited-time promotions are designed to let even more 3-D professionals than ever join the growing ranks of world-renowned producers of films, commercials, music videos and games that have already made the move to the SOFTIMAGE|XSI software this year.

The limited-time promotions, also valid until December 22, 2003, offer significant costs savings across the entire range of Softimage products

- SOFTIMAGE|XSI Essentials Enterprise: Now available for just $3,995 USMSRP, reduced from $7,995 USMSRP. A savings of $4,000 USMSRP.
- SOFTIMAGE|XSI Advanced Enterprise: Now available for $9,995 USMSRP, reduced from $13,995 USMSRP. A savings of $4,000 USMSRP.
- Free upgrades to the latest releases of the SOFTIMAGE|XSI software or any member of the Processing and Rendering product family, upon purchase of 12 months maintenance. Products covered by this promotion include: SOFTIMAGE|XSI – versions 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5; SOFTIMAGE|XSI Batch – version 3.5 or prior; SOFTIMAGE|XSI BatchUniversal – version 3.5 or prior; SOFTIMAGE|XSI BatchServe – version 1.5 or prior; mental ray Ò– version 3.2 or prior.

The promotions also include the SOFTIMAGE|3D system, which will be available with a 50% discount in North America and is now available from $747.50 USMSRP.
