Entertainment Technology Consultants (ETC) announced that co-founder, Matt Cowan, will present The Black Paper -The importance of black in image sharpness and detail for digital cinema at the HPA Technology Retreat at the La Quinta Resort & Club in La Quinta, CA on Friday, February 6, 2004 at 2:15 p.m

“Cinematographers understand that achieving the blackest black is critical to the richness and texture of the cinema image,” said Curtis Clark, Chairman of the American Society of Cinematographers Technology Committee. “ETC appreciates the significant storytelling elements needed to make digital cinema work and this paper should be a contribution to the process.”
