Aurora Video Systems announced that Patty Carlson, whose work as a composer and producer of scores for film and television has established her as a well-respected name in the music industry, has used the IgniterX video capture and edit card to complete her newest music education tool, a DVD titled "Piano Logic."
Carlson used her own experience in learning to play the piano to create a unique teaching method based on her "Numeric Language of Music," and in "Piano Logic" she builds on previous videos by outlining and explaining this innovative technique, reviewing the alphabet and vocabulary, and teaching it the same way an instructor would give English lessons
. Aurora's IgniterX allowed Carlson to protect the intellectual property rights of her technique by enabling her to produce the film on her own using Apple's Final Cut Pro software.
Aurora's IgniterX provides editors with industry-leading data rates and unparalleled compression ratios while retaining unmatched image quality during offline editing. The card features real-time, full-screen effects, in both offline and online environments, and integrated I/O for all digital and analog online formats, so there is no need for additional-cost converters that may degrade image quality. Like all Aurora products, cards in the new Pipe family are built on the company's years of experience developing technology engineered exclusively for Macintosh systems and QuickTime applications.
