By Staff, March 16, 2004

19% of U.S. studios/facilities use HD now in their operations while 47% plan to use HD soon and 28% say they have no plans to use HD, according to the TrendWatch Visual Effects/Dynamic Media Report for Winter 2003-2004.

The adoption and use of HD is still a hot topic in the industry

. 13% of U.S. studios currently shoot/acquire HD. This jumps to 25% for indies and 19% for post-production studios/facilities. If selling HD gear is your game, you should have happy hunting with nearly half of the studios planning to use HD in addition to those using HD now.
