Leitch Technology Corporation announced the release of its low-resolution browse and edit solution, NewsFlash Preditor, based on the NEXIO server platform. Featuring an unparalleled level of integration and a common user interface between high and low-resolution editing environments, NewsFlash Preditor is a best-in-class low-resolution editing environment that provides users with unprecedented collaborative and performance capabilities. "
Delivering improvements over the BrowseCutter 2.0 system that it replaces, NewsFlash Preditor incorporates NEXIO server technology for encoding and client access to the low-resolution file system and features a fully configurable user interface based on the completely redesigned NewsFlash editing environment
. With NewsFlash Preditor, users can make cuts-only edits and build timelines using low-resolution proxy clips. The system's powerful, new toolkit also allows users to perform a wide range of audio edits, including audio level adjustment, panning and track swapping, and recording of voiceovers. Completed projects can then be passed back to the NEXIO server system to be converted into new, high-resolution, broadcast-ready clips.
NewsFlash Preditor is made up of three components - a server, one or more encoders and the client applications - all of which can be ordered individually, with clients being available in varying sized license packs.
