Scopus Network Technologies announced that it will be showing its CODICO product line, which is fully compatible with current HDTV standards, at the NAB 2004 convention, booth # SU11814. All of Scopus' newer-generation products and platforms fulfill the requirements of high-definition broadcasting, including its industry-leading Intelligent Video Network (IVN) and the full suite of Intelligent Video Gateway (IVG) platforms, IRDs, and encoders.

The CODICO E-1800 HD encoder provides multi-format 1080i, 720p, and 480p support with 4:2:2/4:2:0 encoding profiles up to 45 Mbps. The E-1800 also performs EIA 708 VANC closed caption audio multiplexing in accordance with MPEG-2 and Dolby Digital (AC-3) standards. Furthermore, the ATSC- and DVB-compliant unit supports Dolby E coding pass-through and an inverse telecine mode.
The CODICO IRD-2450 professional receiver is a 1-RU mounted system featuring MPEG-2 MP@HL decoding, Dolby AC-3 and MPEG-2 audio decoding, digital video signal compliance with SMPTE 292M (HDSDI), an OSD display with PSI and EPG information, PSIP/EIA-608 closed caption compliance, and more.
