David E. Acker Joins Broadcast Pix as VP Hardware Engineering

Broadcast Pix Inc. announced that effective immediately David E. Acker has joined Broadcast Pix as the Vice President of Hardware Engineering. He will also join the company’s Management Team. David has a rich history in the video industry. Since 1998, he has led hardware engineering at Media 100
. Previously, David was President of FOR.A Corporation of America for 13 years. He also led engineering and was President of Microtime. David was elected a SMPTE Fellow in 1992, and has contributed numerous technical papers, and is a member of several SMPTE standards committees. He holds a US Patent for digital signal processing, and has engineering degrees from Renselaer Polytechnic Institute and MIT.
