WHY: With increasing numbers of films being released digitally, VAN
HELSING will be the first in what will be an expanded and improved summer digital screening series. This is the second year the series is being held.
"Van Helsing" was mastered at a full 1920 resolution with an eye toward 2K projection. The Digital Cinema Lab is one of very few theatres equipped with a Texas Instrument DLP 2K projector. Producer/editor Bob Ducsay will field questions about the film1s production and postproduction and about how the digital intermediate process was used to help create its look and solve visual challenges. The Digital Cinema Laboratory has the highest quality digital picture and sound capabilities and enables audiences to experience the stellar quality of digital presentation.
