Take One Doubles Video Editing Capacity
By Elina Shatkin, June 15, 2004

Take One, the Annapolis media production firm, announced the addition of two computer-based, non-linear video editing systems, effectively doubling their video production capability
.

Take One’s technicians extensively redesigned and engineered all four editing suites, ensuring the high-bandwidth systems integration essential to flexible scheduling while providing for simultaneous editing, rendering, encoding, duplication, asset backups, audio sweetening, and other video post-production chores.

The expansion is timely, says owner and editor-in-chief Dan Powell. “In the past six months we’ve experienced a dramatic surge in demand for video and DVD production.” Recent closings of several major competitors in the Washington/Baltimore market may account for some of that increase.
