CMP Information Inc., publishers of Videography magazine, and Future Media Concepts, the nation's premier digital media training center and conference producer, announced the return of the DigitalMediaDC Conference as part of this year's Government Video Technology Expo program.
The three-day conference, which runs October 5–7, 2004 at the Washington D.C. Convention Center, will feature over 75 training sessions targeted toward professionals in the TV, video, and graphics and web design arenas. Sessions will primarily explore the latest post-production software and techniques, including Avid Media Composer, Avid Xpress Pro, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, video production, video encoding for DVD and Internet, sound for video editors, Web graphics, and Web design. Additional sessions will emphasize business networking methods and job-seeking strategies, as well as a creative keynote presentation by an industry guru.
Looking to replicate the success of the first DigitalMediaDC Conference, this year's program will further expand the educational opportunities available to GV Expo's core audience of government video and communications professionals
. The conference also promises to extend its scope beyond the government sphere by providing expert-led sessions to the entire TV, video, and graphics production and post-production communities. Designed for intermediate and advanced users who wish to maximize their creativity and efficiency of their software, the sessions will be taught by Future Media Concepts' revered team of Certified Instructors, as well as by industry power users and experts.
