Century Offers New 1.6X Tele-Converter
By Staff, July 2, 2004

Century offers a cost-effective solution to extend the telephoto range of 18X/19X Canon IF Pro and 19X/20X Fujinon Pro Classic lenses. The1.6X LC Tele-Converter (TC-16LC-85) simply attaches to the front of the shooting lens, instantly shifting focal length in the telephoto direction. Unlike most extenders, Century units require no exposure compensation and are ideal even in low light situations.

Adding the 1.6X to the Canon YJ19x9 alters its working telephoto focal length from 171mm to 273mm

. The Century 1.6X may be used successfully with the lens’ built-in internal doubler resulting in a long-reaching super telephoto with full zoom-through capability.
Also for these lenses, Century offers the affordable front-mounted round .8X Wide Angle Converter (WA-8XLC) that allows full zoom-through capability.

These professional products feature multi-coated glass elements for ultra-sharp images. Each comes complete with an 85mm clamp ring. Suggested list price for either product is $995.
