LAFCPUG Heads to EMX

The Los Angeles Final Cut Pro Users Group (LAFCPUG) is heading to the EMX Conference on Tuesday, August 31, 2004. LAFCPUG is putting on a show at the Entertainment Media Expo and if you are a DVD author or a DVD author wannabe or just want to know everything you can about the latest in the DVD world, than this is the event for you.

Where? Renaissance Hollywood Hotel, Studio C Third Floor,Hollywood, Calif.
When? Tuesday, August 31, 6:00PM till 8:30PM (doors open 5:30PM)
Why? - Because you need to get out and learn something.
Cost? FREE

This event is open to the public

. Seating is first come first serve and is Limited.

Scheduled on the agenda are:
* Apple's Brian Schmidt who will show off DVD Studio Pro 3 tips and Tricks
* DVD Guru Bruce Nazarian who will surprise us
* Scott Esterson from DTS will rig up Studio C for Surround Sound to show off the new software audio encoders from DTS
* Bill Reckwerdt from Optibase will show off the brand new high end hardware MPEG 2 encoder card for OSX
* Brad Wright, author of DVDxDV will discuss using DVDs as part of your production work flow. Brad will demonstrate how DVD dailies can be used in Final Cut Pro. He'll, also, cover how DVDs can be used to create premium streaming video content.
* PLUS (of course) World Famous Raffle and more
