HD Expo will take place today in Los Angeles at the Petersen Auto Museum (6060 Wilshire Blvd.). In the evening, HD Expo is hosting a celebrity/industry poker tournament benefiting The Cancer Relief Fund.
Online registration is closed. Walk-in registration will be open the day of the EXPO at the registration table on a first come, first serve basis.

The grand finale of the HDEXPO features a prestigious panel of top level pioneers and experts and will focus on the history of HDTV, it's major milestones, the integration of HD systems for advanced networks like digital cinema and theater networks, as well as a first had look at the future.
* APOLLO Lunar HDTV Video Footage: To be shown during the panel - HD NASA video is from original film footage shot on the moon and in lunar orbit during the Apollo missions. The film has been kept in below freezing storage for historical preservation. Some of it was recently sent to a firm specializing in film restoration and re-mastered for the first time to the High Definition format (1080i 30P). Courtesy of NASA.

HD 101 Workflow Workshop SOLD OUT
The educational division of HD EXPO, HD EXPO Workshops, will be hosting an intensive five hour Workflow Curriculum at a reduced rate for attendees. This will be an abbreviated version of the HD 101 Workflow Workshops being launched in Chicago, November 2004 and will cover the basics of Budgeting in HD; Aspect Ratios / Frame Rates; Acquisition Formats & Choices; Posting in HD; and Covering Your Deliverables.
The Workshop will take place on the 4th Floor during the EXPO and will require an additional registration.
