Digital Vision has appointed Lars Taflin as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Robert Ekstrom as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Lars Taflin, the majority shareholder of Digital Vision and previous Chairman of the board of directors, is taking on this new role as Digital Vision is positioned for growth. He is an entrepreneur who has built several technology companies over the years.
Robert Ekstrom joins Digital Vision after serving as CEO of Popwire Technology AB, co-owned by Swedish financial giant Investor and telecommunications equipment manufacturer Ericsson
. Popwire was recently acquired by Teleca AB of Sweden and has its business within video and audio compression for the broadcasting and telecom market. Prior to Popwire, Ekstrom held senior management positions at Microsoft, NCR, AT&T and Digital Equipment as well as at numerous successful start-ups.
As announced earlier, Bengt Broman is stepping down as CEO of Digital Vision in order to take on the role of CEO at Teracom. Teracom is a Swedish government agency that owns and operates all terrestrial broadcast networks in Sweden. He continues as a member of Digital Vision's board of directors of Digital Vision and will also keep his share of ownership in the company.
