AJA announced TechnoMedia Solutions of Orlando, Florida, has installed over 50 AJA converters in the new Time Warner World Headquarters in New York City. The new headquarters include office and studio space of 865,000 square feet for Time Warner, with state-of-the-art digital production and broadcast facilities for live transmission of CNN and CNNfn.
TechnoMedia selected a number of miniature and rack-mounted converters for component and composite analog and digital conversion, including AJA's newest converter, the HD10C2 HD-SDI and SDI Digital to Analog converter. The HD10C2 automatically accepts either HD or SD inputs - this allows a plasma or other appropriate display to work with either HD or SD video
. Filling the need for broadcast-quality A/D and D/A conversion, signal distribution, and down-conversion, TechnoMedia also installed various other modular rack-mount and miniature AJA products into the Time Warner network.
TechnoMedia created a 'distributed media system' that distributes messages to numerous video monitors throughout the lobbies, elevators, and screening theatre. All these elements are connected to a central “ingest and distribution center” that takes media in just about any format and from any source, moves it onto a video server, and then schedules the playback of that media through a fibreoptic network to any screens.
