Blackmagic Design Ships DeckLink Multibridge

Blackmagic Design announced DeckLink Multibridge is now shipping to customers worldwide.

Also released is DeckLink Multibridge Utility, a new software application to allow visual control of settings for easy configuration via USB connection. DeckLink Multibridge Utility v1.0 is compatible with both Mac OS X, and Windows XP, and uses an innovative rear connector view of DeckLink Multibridge so users can rapidly change settings via fast and easy to understand interface, that's a dramatic improvement over little dip switches other converters use.

DeckLink Multibridge is an all-in-one analog converter that handles any conversion task in both HDTV and Standard Definition video, while combining both video and analog conversion into the single converter with 4:2:2 or feature film 4:4:4 video sampling quality

DeckLink Multibridge handles all YUV video conversion in & out as well as composite NTSC/PAL including 4 channels of analog XLR professional audio in & out and a massive 8 channels of AES/EBU audio in & out all on the one converter. DeckLink Multibridge also contains powerful processing features such as broadcast quality HD down conversion.

DeckLink Multibridge can connect analog decks such as Betacam SP to SDI, or it can be added to any editing and design workstation to get the ultimate SDI tethered breakout box.

DeckLink Multibridge providing HD and SD support is available now from resellers worldwide for a suggested retail price of US$1,995. DeckLink Multibridge SD will be available in approx. 1-2 weeks.

DeckLink Multibridge Utility v1.0 is available now from the Blackmagic Design web site at no charge, and allows configuration and settings on all Multibridge models.
