da Vinci Systems announced the appointment of David Johnson as vice president of engineering. Responsible for all of the company's engineering and technical operations, Johnson brings extensive experience and success in directing the development of products to his new role with da Vinci.
In his new role, Johnson will be responsible for overseeing the entire
development process of da Vinci's image enhancement and restoration product families, as well as managing the company's engineering team.
Prior to joining da Vinci, Johnson served as director of customer solutions and chief solutions architect at Itronix Corporation in Spokane, Wash., where he was responsible for helping the company establish worldwide market share leadership and planning technologies for future product applications, bundles, and alliances
. During his seven years with Itronix, he also held high-level positions in strategic alliances and wireless products. A graduate of Kansas State University, Johnson has held numerous leadership roles in the engineering field over the past 25 years.
