Access Integrated Technologies, Inc. ("AccessIT") announced it will sponsor a "Digital Cinema University" (DCU) at the 2005 ShoWest, scheduled March 14-17 at Bally's Paris Las Vegas hotel. Continuous DCU classes will be hosted in AccessIT's suite, Palace One, and offered to all ShoWest attendees.
The company plans to demonstrate how digital cinema works from the studio to exhibition, showcasing all of AccessIT's fully-integrated digital cinema products and services for film delivery, security, content management, and exhibition. AccessIT's experts at DCU will give ShoWest attendees detailed explanations and demonstrations and respond to all queries about these powerful technologies; how they work together; and their critical role in the film industry's coming transition to an all-digital world
. The DCU "faculty" will also instruct all attendees in the special qualities and features of each stand-alone product, focusing particularly on their interconnectivity and interoperability with technologies, products and services produced by a wide spectrum of vendors.
At the conclusion of each day's "Digital Cinema University" classes, "graduates" will be entered into a daily prize drawing. The winning entries on Tuesday, March 15 and Wednesday, March 16, will receive Apple i-Pod Minis. The winning entrant on Thursday, March 17, will be awarded a new 50" flat panel Panasonic HDTV.
