Band Pro Named Premier Reseller for Sony CineAlta Products
By Staff, April 19, 2005

Band Pro Film & Digital has been selected by Sony as a Premier Reseller for Sony’s CineAlta line of high-definition 24P acquisition and playback products. Band Pro will represent CineAlta camcorders and VTRs exclusively.

The new agreement provides them with more complete access to Sony inventory to provide immediate customer delivery and higher levels of customer service, training and support.

Band Pro was chosen as a Premier Reseller because of the company’s distinguished track record in meeting customer needs in the broadcast and production industries, and for its proven expertise in working with customers to develop targeted solutions for individual applications.

“We value the relationships with our dealers, as they are often the first and most direct lines of communications with our customers,” said Alec Shapiro, senior vice president of Sony Electronics’ Broadcast and Production Division Systems Division

. “Over the years, Amnon Band and his entire team at Band Pro have distinguished themselves with outstanding levels of technical and application knowledge, and the highest levels of commitment to service and support. That’s why we’ve elevated them to the level of Premier Reseller.”

Band Pro also has a long history with Sony across several product lines. Most recently, Band Pro was instrumental in the sale of Sony’s XDCAM Professional Disc system to the E! Television Network.

“As a loyal Sony partner since 1986, Band Pro has made every effort to complete the missing elements of an entire electronic cinematography HD package,” said Amnon Band, President of Band Pro Film & Digital, Inc. “Through research, development and implementation, Band Pro has supported and pioneered High Definition at large, and we’re proud to expand our relationship with Sony.”

Band Pro will showcase Sony’s CineAlta products in its NAB booth (SU6365) in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
