Front Porch Digital, a division of Incentra Solutions, announced that it was selected by Nickelodeon UK to implement a new DIVArchive, an archive management solution for media. The new installation marks the seventh Front Porch customer in the United Kingdom, an emerging market for digital broadcast archives.
Nickelodeon UK, a joint venture of Viacom and BSkyB, is the leading kids’ TV network in the U.K., transmitting on digital satellite and all major cable networks from its London playout center
. The new DIVArchive system will manage a 17-terabyte online disk array storage disk and connect to Pinnacle MediaStream 8000 video servers for ingest and playout under the control of a Harris automation system via VACP.
