The Hollywood Post Alliance announces it will host its second annual forum geared to providing insight and instruction on the latest advances in digital workflow to post production professionals of all walks. The popular educational/networking event will be held July 15-16, at the Linwood Dunn Theater in Hollywood.
Building on the success of last year’s program, HPA Summer School 2005 will continue the Digital Workflow theme with expanded tutorials presented by leading industry experts. The broadened course is designed to enlighten and inspire today’s post professional with in-depth information and timely guidance on prevalent issues inherent to the new digital workflow. Ever-changing technologies and demanding schedules impact every level of the process and HPA’s program is structured to get everyone from beginner to advanced –- from business exec to artist -– in the loop and up-to-speed.
Terminologies, key trends, case studies and the latest technological advances will be shared and explored for the benefit of all who attend – along with practical applications for incorporating this new found wisdom into their day-to-day businesses operations

* 3D with Matt Cowan, Co-Founder, Entertainment Technology Consultants
* Aspect Ratio with Rob Hummel, Sr. VP of Production Technology, Warner Bros. Technical Operations
* Color Issues with Glenn Kennel, Director of Technology Development, Texas Instruments, Inc.
* Digital Cinema Workflow (speaker not yet confirmed)
* File Formats with Josh Pines, VP of Imaging Research & Development, Technicolor Digital Intermediates
* Moving Data (speaker not yet confirmed)
The event begins with a cocktail reception on Friday evening, followed by a 3D presentation and tutorial. Saturday is a full day of tutorials ending at 4:30 pm.
