By Staff, April 15, 2006

Media Distributors, Inc., a supplier of videotape, film stock, recording media, data media products and services, data storage, and duplication/publishing systems, will be showcasing an assortment of new products and devices at the 2006 NAB show at Booth # C-11627.

Media Distributors will highlight three product areas during NAB 2006: Capture Devices, Publishing & Duplication Equipment, and Hi-Definition Products:

CAPTURE DEVICES:
The nNovia QuickCapture can capture "Edit-Ready" clips directly to a hard disk drive during field shooting. This eliminates the lengthy "capture" process

. nNovia is introducing at NAB a removable hard drive version of the A2D video recorder.

CitiDISK HDV
The new CitiDisk HDV from Shining Technology is a highly effective tool, eliminating the time consuming process of re-capturing HDV/DV footage from HDV/DV camcorder tapes into non-linear editing (NLE) systems. The CitiDisk HD is a firewire based external hard disk digital video recorder compatible with Panasonic's AG-HVX200 P2-based camcorder. It records DVCPRO 100 HD, DVCPRO 50, DVCPRO 25, and DV from comparably equipped video cameras. The recorder captures HDV/DV footage simultaneously to its miniature high capacity hard drive and to the tape, and then transfers the footage directly from the cameras firewire port into the user's choice of file formats, including M2T, MOV, AVI and DV.
