Advanced Technology and Systems Co., Ltd. (ADTX) announced interoperability of their latest 4G FC RAID and 10 GE NAS technology for shared multi-platform video editing and post-production workgroups respectively.
By pairing 10GE front end IP connectivity from Apace NAS systems with one or multiple 4G Fibre Channel as back end RAID solution from ADTX, the two companies’ offer a compelling balanced throughput NAS-SAN storage solutions for Multi-stream uncompressed HD workflows. Apace Systems will be the solution provider of 10GbE Network Attached Storage systems (NAS), and will equip its e2500 series eStor network storage with 10GbE and 4G FC connectivity HBAs, offering a gateway between 10GE IP and 4 FC SAN to ADTX ArrayMasStor LP RAID storage systems.
Uncompressed high bit rates video mandates migration to larger FC and Ethernet connectivity pipes pushing the market to consider other connectivity solutions out of necessity.
Both companies’ storage solutions are designed from ground up to meet demanding needs of the video markets
. They can be deployed as serial front end/back end NAS-SAN network storage solutions or they can be paired to serve independent LAN and SAN workgroups in parallel workgroups. The goal is to migrate the Video workflows from a Direct Attached Storage (DAS) topology to network attach to offer collaboration and consolidation of storage without performance compromise.
A complete copper-based (CX-4) 10GbE work flow demonstrating Apace Systems and ADTX 4G FC RAID will be on display at NAB Show 2006 in the Las Vegas Convention Center Exhibit hall, April 24-27, 2006, at Apace Systems booth #SU219.
