A quick look at news, product release and anything that's buzzworthy in the world of digital moviemaking.

6:06 pm - Chris Suchorsky, director, "Failure"
Last Weekend Productions was founded by Chris Suchorsky in the summer of 2000. That summer, he began work on the feature length film "Executing Love." That film subsequently fell apart and would later become the award-winning documentary "Failure."

After "Failure," Suchorsky worked on multiple projects including the music video "Kiss Catastrophe" for Spic Recording artists The Damwells, completed the short film "The Park," and worked on the History Channel's series "Deep Sea Detectives" and "Weird, US."

Suchorsky is currently working on his first feature length documentary entitled Golden Days. The film follows the Brooklyn rock band The Damwells over a five-year period as they go from struggling indie band recording their first album in a storage space to major recording artists working with Epic Records to struggling artists once again.

In 2005, while filming "Golden Days," Suchorsky's first film "Failure" was acquired by IFC (Independent Film Channel)

. The deal was finalized after six months of paperwork, 247 hrs of sound editing, and a mild nervous break down. What did Suchorsky learn from that experience? Get your film in order before you try and sell it!

6:32 pm - TJ Hock and Tom Read - Co-producers, Mongolian Documentary
TJ Hock is a recent graduate of West Chester University of Pennsylvania. TJ graduated with a BS degree in Communications and a minor in video production. Shortly after graduation he started Hock Productions, which has produced videos in the Bahamas, the Virgin Islands along the East Coast and as far West as Seattle, Washington. The current "Mongolian Documentary" will utilize his video skills in the production and his internet prowess with regular updates to the web site that he has created so that people around the world can monitor the progress of the trip.

Thomas Reed recently retired from his position as a professor at West Chester University of Pennsylvania where for over 30 years he taught in the Communications Department teaching a variety of video, photography and mass communication courses. During that time he worked on many media projects involving both video and photography for a wide variety of clients. In 1998 he was contacted by a representative of the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet to invite him to document a never before recorded initiation ceremony that was to take place during a two week period in Bloomington, Indiana in 1999.
