Zemeckis & Partners Form Production Co. for 3D Movies
By Staff, February 9, 2007

Director Robert Zemeckis and his producing partners Jack Rapke and Steve Starkey have partnered with the Walt Disney Studios to form a film company that specializes in performance capture films, Variety is reporting. The company will be devoted to producing 3D films that use motion capture technology such as The Polar Express, which they made for Warner Bros., and Monster House, which they made for Sony.

The trio's current production company, ImageMovers, already based at Disney, will be folded into the new venture.
