Petrol, a Vitec Group brand, introduced the Petrol 9” LCD Monitor Bag, a lightweight, padded shoulder bag that cushions and protects the Panasonic LH-900 and similar size LCD camera monitors.
The monitor bag’s top flap opens envelope-style into a four-sided hood designed to aid shading and viewing. Hood sections separate and provide easy access via hook and loop material to the monitor’s front panel, which is covered by a clear vinyl shield. A zippered top vent in the main chamber accommodates the wireless system’s antennae. On the rear panel, an exterior storage pocket supplies the perfect place for stowing a battery or mounting arm
. Vents at the top allow for the connection of power cables from the pocket to the bag’s interior. The back section opens to provide a detachable auxiliary pouch ideal for stashing additional accessories.
Petrol’s design includes a convenient bottom-docking slot with zippers and adjustable safety strap to allow mounting of the monitor on camera while still cradled within the bag itself. Additional features include external front and rear accessory pockets, an adjustable ergonomic padded shoulder strap, and dual directional easy-glide zippers. The exterior is constructed of heavy-duty blue and black Cordura.
The suggested U.S. list price for the new Petrol PLCD-3 9” LCD Monitor bag is $179.
