Sony Features Tapeless, Networked Production at IBC
By Staff, August 22, 2008

IT-based workflow themes will dominate Sony's stand at IBC. In addition to seeing Sony's entry-level XDCAM EX3 solid state camcorder, visitors at IBC2008 will discover new solutions for the PDW-700 that include an extension of the range’s metadata management capabilities.

On the stand's dedicated Network Production area, customers will also hear more about Sony's choice of interoperability partners with 50 Mbps support

. In addition to the latest HD production systems for live outside broadcast and studio events, visitors to the News and Live Production area will see how SONAPS optimizes the news and sports production process from planning, acquisition and editing to play-out, distribution and archive. It offers an easy migration path to HD, accommodates third-party integration and is entirely scalable for future and multisystem expansion.

Sony will be at Stands 9.C10 and 9.A31.
