The FSB CELL by Sachtler is now shipping. This battery concept for Mini DV and DV/HDV cameras has been optimized following its debut last year.

The FSB CELL’s underside is fashioned like a camera plate and can be fastened onto Sachtler’s FSB fluid heads, ensuring secure locking and optimized handling features. By mounting the 1.43 lb. battery to the fluid head directly, the FSB CELL’s weight increases stability without adversely influencing the balancing of the camera, ensuring steady and smooth pan and tilt movement.

Depending on the type of camera, an operating time of up to eight hours is guaranteed. Furthermore, additional equipment, like the Reporter 8LED, Sachtler's LED on-camera light, can be used.

Using a corresponding adapter cable, the battery can be used to power cameras from Sony, Canon and Panasonic. Another advantage of the FSB CELL is the extended sliding range of 8.8 in. (225mm), resulting in maximum flexibility for the use of accessories. In combination with the FSB CELL, the Sachtler fluid heads FSB 2 and FSB 6 make the ideal support package.
