November 19, 2008 - Enabling the Metropolitan Opera's mission of opera for the masses, SES AMERICOM and All Mobile Video announced they are delivering a series of live Met performances to hundreds of theaters and thousands of fans across the U.S. and Canada. Productions from the Met's entire new season, which includes Doctor Atomic and Madama Butterfly, will air live in HD via satellite on big screens on select Saturday afternoons through spring.
SES AMERICOM satellites and programming distribution expertise combined with All Mobile Video's event video and audio production team and technologies have made the lofty program a reality for the Met Opera and opera fans across North America.

The Met's 2008-09 opera season kicked off with a performance that was broadcast via satellite to jumbo screens in Times Square on September 22. The Met: Live in HD performances from the 2007-08 season are now available on DVD and have aired on PBS nationwide.
