Soundelux’s Wylie Stateman Receives Oscar Nomination for 'Wanted'

Supervising Sound Designer Wylie Stateman of CSS StudiosSoundelux facility in Hollywood has received an Academy Award nomination for Best Achievement in Sound Editing for his work on Wanted. It is his fourth Oscar nomination.
   

“We extend our warmest congratulations to Wylie for this wonderful honor,” said CSS Studios president Robert C. Rosenthal. “To achieve such a high level of artistic excellence requires incredible commitment, hard work and talent, and it is gratifying to see that effort recognized in this way.”


The 81st Academy Awards will be held on Feb. 22 in Los Angeles.

The nominees for Achievement in Sound Editing are:

  • The Dark Knight (Warner Bros.), Richard King
  • Iron Man (Paramount and Marvel Entertainment), Frank Eulner and Christopher Boyes
  • Slumdog Millionaire (Fox Searchlight), Glenn Freemantle and Tom Sayers
  • WALL-E (Walt Disney), Ben Burtt and Matthew Wood
  • Wanted (Universal), Wylie Stateman
