Rock Paper Scissors is celebrating two Academy Award nominations. First, Kirk Baxter and Angus Wall are both nominated for the Best Film Editing Oscar for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, directed by David Fincher. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is nominated for a total of 13 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.
Next, Adam Pertofsky's film The Witness: From the Balcony of Room 306 is nominated for Best Documentary Short. Produced for the National Civil Rights Museum by Executive Producer Margaret Hyde, the film chronicles the final days and hours of the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., as told through the eyes of his contemporary, Rev. Samuel "Billy" Kyles. Directed by Pertofsky and edited by Rock Paper Scissors' David Brodie, The Witness can be seen on HBO in February.
The 81st annual Academy Awards will be presented on Sunday, Feb. 22.
