TG700 with 1080p SDI Signal Generation Facilitates 3Gb/s Services Roll-Out
Significant upgrades for the Tektronix TG700 modular multi-format precision video signal generator include the addition of 1080p SDI signal generation on a single link. This capability is added through the new 3Gb/s HD3G7 module, which supports both Level A and Level B 1080p SMPTE formats.

TG700 with 1080p SDI Signal Generation
|
The 3Gb/s HD3G7 modules assist video equipment designers and manufacturers to get to market quickly and efficiently and facilitate early 3Gb/s services rollout for broadcasters and postproduction operators.
The TG700 is a modular platform that offers great flexibility for customers to choose precisely the output signal types that they need, and provides an immediate upgrade path for those who wish to purchase a signal generator now but add 3Gb/s outputs at a later date.
TG700 with GPS-based Synchronization and Timecode Generation
The GPS7 module allows the TG700 to act as a master clock and synchronization system, including video reference and timecode, for broadcast and postproduction operators. A GPS clock can simplify facility configuration by supplying all necessary clock signals from a single worldwide reference.
The GPS7 module for the TG700 provides broadcasters with the option of having all the video reference signals in their facility locked to an extremely stable source, preventing any long-term drift. For postproduction applications, the GPS7 module with the TG700 provides flexible timecode support. Many postproduction houses work with multiple video formats simultaneously, so the ability to support multiple video and timecode formats is important.

ANC Data Inspector for the WFM Series
The ANC Data Inspector enhances the Ancillary (ANC) data monitoring capabilities of the WFM7120 and WFM6120 waveform monitors for broadcast monitoring applications. The ANC data inspector provides an industry leading solution to help broadcasters easily and accurately ensure that all required ANC data is present and correctly configured through an intuitive ANC data display. For ANC data, which is flagged with errors, engineers are quickly guided to a more detailed view of the data packed content for further analysis. The ANC Data Inspector provides the capability to monitor and diagnose ANC data with a common user interface resulting in a more efficient workflow.

WFM5000/WVR5000 and WFM4000/WVR4000 with TandemVu Display
TandemVu Display capability for the WFM5000 waveform monitors and WVR5000 rasterizers, launched last NAB, provide the ability to overlay waveform and vector displays and waveform and lighting displays and position flexibly in full screen mode. It also allows magnification of each trace individually based on specific user preferences. The resulting display is akin to having two tiles in full screen size overlaid plus a thumbnail picture display as required.
TandemVu provides broadcast operators with a more efficient and effective way to adjust and balance cameras in either broadcast studios or outside broadcast (OB) vans. The WFM5000/WVR5000 with TandemVu enables broadcast operators to personalize the screen display based on their individual application needs. For easy documentation, the personalized screen display can also be captured and stored in biap file format on a USB storage device.

MTS400P and MTS415 Analyzers Foster DTV and IP Video Transition
In addition to standard features, the IP Video Option for the MTS400P analyzer offers a choice of 10, 100 and 1000 Base-T or optical Line Rate connections. This option supports IPv4 and IPv6 networks and includes Time-stamped Transport Stream (TTS) analysis. The MTS400P enables customers to analyze both constant and variable bit rate streams, single or multi-program transport streams plus IP and TS Key Performance Indicator analysis of up to 500 simultaneous sessions in IPv4 and IPv6 based networks. Other options include an MPEG Player, Deferred Time Multiplexer, Deferred Time Transport Stream Compliance Analyzer, PES Analyzer, Buffer Analyzer and a Carousel Analyzer and Generator.
M400A with FlexVu Provides Common Platform for Confidence and Diagnostic Monitoring
Additional features for the M400A MPEG Transport Stream Monitor are support for variable bit rate (VBR) corrected measurements, a “monitoring by exception” Learning Mode and Video and Audio Backhaul. Part of the extensive Tektronix video test equipment platform, the M400A enables broadcasters and network operators to better detect signal degradation caused during transmission and distribution to find and diagnose errors more quickly to prevent viewers from experiencing loss of signal.
The M400A with the powerful FlexVuPlus user interface leverages the deep measurement capabilities of the M platform to deliver greatly simplified DTV monitoring and diagnostics. The M400A with FlexVuPlus provides a configurable common user interface for both confidence and diagnostic monitoring that improves communication handover between operator and engineer.

ISDB-TB Support Enables Effective DTV Services Deployment
ISDB-TB support was added to the MTS400 Series MPEG Analyzers and MTS4SA software, and both MTX100B and RTX100B MPEG Generators. The new capabilities assist Brazilian ISDB-TB broadcasters with deployment of new ISDB-TB services designed to deliver digital TV, HDTV and mobile TV channels to consumer TV sets and mobile/handheld devices.
The MTS400 Series MPEG Analyzers provides DTV and IPTV connectivity and network QoS metrics that are seamlessly integrated into the MPEG analysis capabilities. The addition of ISDB-TB enables equipment designers and manufacturers to ensure standards compliance for new network appliances including consumer premises equipment in support of the ISDB-TB deployment in Brazil. Equipment manufacturers and designers around the world will benefit from improved quality and reduced time to market with support of the ISDB-TB standard.
