Blackmagic Design Previews Highlights for NAB 2009

At NAB 2009, Blackmagic Design (booth SL10820) will showcase its three newest DeckLink cards: DeckLink HD Extreme with Dual Link SDI, DeckLink SDI and DeckLink Studio.

   
Blackmagic DeckLink HD Extreme

The rest of the Blackmagic Design product line will also be on display, including Multibridge Eclipse, Intensity Pro, the family of Mini Converters, Broadcast Videohub, Workgroup Videohub and the Video Recorder.

DeckLink HD Extreme replaces the previous model. DeckLink Studio and DeckLink SDI replace the entire Blackmagic Design standard-definition product line, while also adding HD support. DeckLink HD Extreme is $995, DeckLink Studio is $695 and DeckLink SDI is $395

About DeckLink HD Extreme
DeckLink HD Extreme with Dual Link SDI is a more powerful version of the DeckLink HD Extreme card. It has all the features of the original model, which it replaces, and adds Dual Link 3Gb/s SDI for 4:4:4 quality and a new hardware downconverter for simultaneous HD and SD playback.

   
Blackmagic DeckLink Studio

About DeckLink Studio
DeckLink Studio features SDI and enhanced analog connections: SDI, analog component, S-Video and composite video. Plus, it has a built-in hardware downconverter and four channels of balanced analog audio, eight channels of SDI audio and two channels of AES/EBU digital with sample rate converters.

DeckLink Studio lets you move seamlessly between SD and HD workflows for the ultimate in creative flexibility. For a broadcast-strength solution, DeckLink Studio also has RS-422 deck control and blackburst and tri-sync reference input.

About DeckLink SDI
DeckLink SDI combines 10-bit SD/HD-SDI capture and playback with low cost. It’s perfect for use with SDI decks or in large facilities with SDI routers. This small, affordable 10-bit SDI video card works in both SD and HD and includes blackburst, tri-sync reference input, eight channels of SDI embedded audio and RS-422 deck control.
