New BOXX Mobile Workstation Features the Power of a Desktop System
March 10, 2009

BOXX Technologies, an innovator in high-performance  computing systems for visual effects (VFX), design professionals, and advanced visualization, today announced the release of the redesigned and reconfigured GoBOXX, a mobile workstation that rivals the speed and performance of desktop systems for all 3D design, VFX, and video editing
with professional software applications. GoBOXX offers digital artists the opportunity to create outside of studio confines without sacrificing professional workstation performance, and supports multiple, simultaneous streams of uncompressed motion media for online finishing of video editing projects -- a first for mobile workstations with dedicated media storage.
"GoBOXX represents the level of innovation our customers have come to expect. Power and flexibility make GoBOXX the ultimate solution for digital artists, architects, and technology professionals who need uncompromising, desktop-caliber performance in the field," said Shoaib Mohammad, Director of Marketing and Business Development at BOXX.

Available with up to three hard drives, GoBOXX supports HD video, SD video, or RED ONE files using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects CS4 software while featuring a 1920 x 1200 display resolution. Its most important feature, however, is an Intel Core 2 Quad processor running at 3GHz, making GoBOXX a unique solution -- a notebook powered by a desktop level processor.

"By harnessing the power of our Intel Core 2 processors, BOXX has raised the performance bar for mobile workstations that meet the needs of digital artists demanding the power of a desktop workstation in the chassis of a laptop," said Brian Tucker, business marketing manager, Mobile Platforms Group, Intel Corporation.

Featuring the Microsoft Windows XP operating system, NVIDIA Quadro FX 3700m graphics card, and 17" screen, GoBOXX is backed by BOXX Technical Support and has been tested for maximum stability and reliability by BOXXlabs, the research and development arm of BOXX Technologies.
