Eyeheight Previews Highlights for NAB 2009
March 18, 2009

Four additions to the Eyeheight range of modular broadcast production and postproduction equipment will be introduced to the U.S. market at booth SL7409 at the 2009 NAB Show.

A globally-active innovator in broadcast-quality video and audio engineering, Eyeheight designs and manufactures a wide range of SDI/HD-SDI equipment for use in program-origination, quality assurance, postproduction, master control and associated areas. Eyeheight products center on a modular platform with Ethernet control and monitoring for easy connection to other devices and to external automation.

Eyeheight UD-2 Up/Downconverter (U.S. market launch)
Eyeheight's UD-2 is a high-quality up/downconverter with three-field temporal processing and 3:2 pull-down frame-rate conversion. Like all Eyeheight multi-definition products, the UD-2 is compatible with the 18 video standards currently in use across 525/625, 720p, 1080p and 1080i. Advanced video noise reduction features enable overall noise and artifacts associated with DCT compression to be minimized.

Eyeheight eyeCon Controller (U.S. market launch)
eyeCon allows PC-based control of any module in the Eyeheight FB-9E intelligent chassis. Integral diagnostics provide instant assurance that the module under interrogation is fully operational. If an error is detected, holding the cursor over the red status light reveals information such as loss of source video. The Ethernet interface allows device communication and control via intranet or Internet, giving the ability to check a compatible Eyeheight product anywhere in the world via TCP/IP link.

Eyeheight LE-2MD Legalizer (U.S. market launch)
The LE-2MD is the smallest and most powerful legalizer in the Eyeheight range. It is compatible with all commonly-used signal standards from 525 and 625-line SD up to 720p and 1080i HD. Structured as two internal independent legalizers in series, the LE-2MD can be configured to operate in composite and RGB domains simultaneously, including conformity to the 75 percent chroma settings commonly used in the USA, Japan and Australia.

Eyeheight nanoBox softPanel chassis (U.S. market launch)
Optimized for desktop use in control rooms, edit suites and graphic studios as well as on location, the NB-9 nanoBox softPanel chassis is a cost-efficient and compact freestanding housing that will accommodate any Eyeheight single-height card. Available cards include legalizers, safe-area-generators and SDI-embedded audio shufflers. Control of nanoBox is via Eyeheight's softPanel software, which can run in Java 1.5 on any standard PC.
