Canon Releases 5D Mark II Update for Manual Exposure Control of Video
June 2, 2009

Canon U.S.A. announces the general availability of its firmware update for the EOS 5D Mark II digital SLR camera that enables manual exposure controls while shooting video, including ISO, aperture and shutter speed.

The update transforms the 5D Mark II into the first full-frame 24mm x 36mm DSLR with manual exposure control. Manual exposure control while shooting video on the 5D Mark II is expected to make a big impact with cinematographers and videographers using the 5D Mark II for high-end HD video production.

Sample video shot with the 5D Mark II is available online.
