Online videos introduce Audi Facebook fans to the "Youth Mobile 2030" Design Challenge and engage the community on what cars should look like in 10, 20, and 30 years.
Emeryville, CA -- TurnHere, Inc., the leading online video content creation and advertising company, announced that it has developed a video-driven Social Media package for luxury vehicle maker Audi. Specifically, TurnHere produced videos profiling Audi's participation in the "Youth Mobile 2030" design challenge for its Facebook fan page.
The videos showcase real Audi designers sharing their design philosophies and visions for the future of the automobile. They introduce viewers to the upcoming Los Angeles Design Challenge, a competition among Southern California automotive studios associated with the annual L.A. Auto Show. In this year's contest, Team Audi and other participating studios are tasked with designing a youth-oriented concept car for the year 2030. With its Facebook page and videos, Audi is turning to its community of more than 300,000 Facebook fans to gather insight on the functionality and features they'd like to see in the year 2030. The videos encourage fans to participate in Team Audi's effort, and follow-up discussion questions solicit specific feedback, such as 'How will your car play a role in keeping you connected to your digital world in the future?'
"Video is a powerful way to experience the Audi brand and the passion of our design team. We wanted to show our Facebook fans that we're committed to creating automobiles that fit our changing lifestyles; and having this conversation with them is a critical part of that process," said Brad Stertz, Manager of Corporate Communications for Audi of America. "TurnHere did a great job of capturing that passion and desire in an authentic way that lets our designers start the conversation online among our fans."
"Audi is using social media to excite its community and engage them in their brand and design process. Video is an integral element to showing the human side of any brand and creating a personal connection," said John McWeeny, COO at TurnHere. "Online video production is now very affordable, and more brands are able to use video to engage people on the social web." TurnHere is successfully helping brands and local businesses become visual storytellers through its turnkey video marketing solutions. Its strong network of more than 8,000 independent, professional filmmakers in more than 70 countries and in all 50 states brings local talent to each client and lowers the costs of video production.
