Wohler Technologies today announced the addition of vectorscope and subtitling features to select products within the company's RMT range of LCD monitors.
The RMT series offers features including dual inputs, an on-screen waveform display, eight channels of audio bar graph metering, a variety of crop and safety markers, and built-in speakers and headphone jack.
In keeping with its philosophy of increasing value for customers, Wohler has incorporated its popular vectorscope feature into the 17-inch RMT-170-HD and 20.1-inch RMT-200-HD monitors and introduced subtitling monitoring in the 15-inch RMT-150-A and RMT-150-SD (V version) units and in the 17-inch RMT-170-SD and RMT-170-HD models.
"The addition of the vectorscope feature to select RMT products gives broadcasters yet another convenient monitoring tool that not only simplifies operations, but also eliminates the space and costs required by hardware scopes," says Kim Templeman-Holmes, vice president of global sales and marketing at Wohler. "Also bringing added value to the RMT series, our new subtitling feature further eases the complexity of signal monitoring in multiformat and multichannel environments, making a rich array of data readily available to the operator on a single display surface."
Mobile production trucks, news and transmission control rooms, and duplication and postproduction facilities all require compact, convenient monitoring solutions with flexible inputs. The RMT product range meets that need while providing rich functionality at a low price point. Designed as fully inclusive solutions ready as a desktop, or rack VESA mount, RMT monitors support high-resolution imaging with built-in NTSC and PAL auto-sensing. Each screen can display eight channels of PPM over VU, audio level meters, colored in-monitor labeling, safe areas, frame marks, cropping, switchable aspect ratios, and built-in color bars. All settings are accessible from CRT-style front-panel controls and the systems' intuitive on-screen menu.
