The New Media Film Festival (www.newmediafilmfestival.com) comes to Los Angeles to debut a state-of-the-art filmmaking competition. Recognizing that filmmakers exist in a digital-age, award winning independent filmmaker Susan Johnston and top industry professionals have set the weekend of June 11 through 13, 2010 for the very first New Media Film Festival. Recognizing that filmmakers exist in a digital age, the focus of The New Media Film Festival will seek the best films that honor "stories worth telling, in all media that are innovative, imaginative and inspirational" according to founder Susan Johnston. The filmmakers will create these films including MOBILE, MOBISODE, WEBISODE, WEBSERIES formats, films shot with RED Camera, 3D and other High Definition Camera technology.

A special panel discussion program is set for Saturday, June 12 and will include new media industry leaders such as Ted Schilowitz (RED Camera), Per Peterson 3D expert (Peter Jackson, Panasonic), Greg Reitman (Sundance winner) and others to be announced on the New Media Film Festival web site.

A special focus on films with high definition technology such as 3D and RED combined with elevating story telling will define the guidelines of the festival. The New Media Film Festival has been created with an endorsement from C3 - The Center for Conscious Creativity ringfestival.wordpress.com. In addition, The New Media Film Festival is an adjunct to The Ring Festival as announced at a November 16th C3 meeting helmed by United Nations futurist Jerome Glenn.
